School Refenestration
Completed in two phases this project involved the replacement of the curtain wall glazing to the front and rear elevations of the main three storey teaching block at an academy high school.
The scope of works included replacement of the curtain walling with new aluminium framed curtain walling system complete with solar control tinted double glazed units. The existing concrete columns and timber fascias were also clad with prefinished cladding panels and rainwater goods replaced in order to eliminate the need for future high level re-decoration.
As part of the design process visuals were produced to provide the client with images of the completed works using a variety of different colour schemes and infill panel systems.
The building was fully scaffolded to allow the works to take place. Both contracts were completed during term time with a phased sequence of works being used to ensure only a minimum number of rooms need to be vacated at any one time.
